Reviewing Email Blast Providers
Actually, we don't like using the term blast because email Below is the summary for each emailing service and then some
considerations at the bottom. Please review and then let’s get on the
phone to cover any questions and how we might be able to assist you moving
forward if needed.
IContact.com (reseller rates through InteractRV)
- You would need 9 different logins which is one for each
store. - You will have one Admin login that allows you only to review
all location/store activity. - That gives you unlimited contacts and you are only charged
$.008 cents per email when you send. - In our example of sending 1000 emails every other week from
each store that’s 18,000 emails at a monthly cost of $144.00.
MailChimp.com
- You would need 9 different accounts for each location at $30
each at a monthly cost of $180. - There is no Admin login to view location activity.
You’d need to login as each store individually. - That gives you 1000 – 2500 contacts per location and you can
send unlimited number of emails per month to those contacts - In our example of sending 1000 emails every other week from
each store that’s 18,000 emails at a cost of $.01 per email.
ConstantContact.com
- You would need 9 different accounts for each location at $30
each at a monthly cost of $180. - There is no Admin login to view location activity.
You’d need to login as each store individually. - That gives you 500 – 2500 contacts per location and you can
send unlimited number of emails per month to those contacts - In our example of sending 1000 emails every other week from
each store that’s 18,000 emails at a cost of $.01 per email.
Considerations
- IContact (through InteractRV) is the only
service that allows multiple users with location access only and then an admin
user all within one account. - None of the emailing services allow you to
attach a file to an outgoing email. The reason is because email servers
see attachments coming through in bulk as spammy and they reject them giving
you a much lower delivery rate. - With any of these services they allow you to
upload graphics to include/insert into emails, but the graphics have a maximum
size allowed. Some graphics may need to be shrunk down before uploading.
A simple program can be used or Jason could easily assist each parts manager. - We’d want to plan ahead of time how to train
each parts manager at each store to use the emailing service. It’s fairly
simple, but training would be required. - We’d also want to address how support is
obtained if there is an actual issue/problem. Who does the parts manager
contact? - We’d want to create a simple online/website
entry form for each location to put in their collected email addresses.
Each service does have a simple list upload process so each location can easily
upload their current list. Jason could easily assist each parts manager
with this.
